The Proud Parents - Ian Goes for a Kiss
|
We are so happy to introduce our newest son - Kyle! Born 4/7/05 at 1:03 p.m. weighing 8 lbs 4 oz and 21 inches long. Sorry this took so long to get out. We got blindsided by the stomach flu shortly after coming home from the hospital. Thankfully, we are all healthy now! Anyway, on to the birth story! We were scheduled for induction last Thursday and after a fairly sleepless night on my part we dropped the boys off at preschool and headed to the hospital. We got there at 9 and by 9:30 they had me hooked up to the pitocin. My doctor came and broke my water about the same time and said I was already dilated to 4 cm, so I have a feeling Kyle would have arrived this weekend regardless. Around 11:00 the contractions were getting uncomfortable, so I asked for the epidural man to come - ya gotta love those guys! It took about a half hour to get it working properly and then I was feeling no pain. But I was feeling pressure! The nurse checked and I was at 7 cm. She decided to call the doctor back in because she thought it was going to be quick. And she was right! 15 minutes later it was time to push. 30 minutes later Kyle made his way into the world at 1:03 pm weighing 8 lbs 4 oz and 21 inches long. He has lots of dark hair and a ferocious cry! We stayed in the hospital until Saturday - much to Dave's consternation, he was ready to leave Thursday night! We came home to two very excited little boys, though I have to say Ian is a little less than excited now. They both love to give him kisses and shower him with their toys. We are slowly adjusting to life as a family of 5 - with a lot of help form our family and friends! Enjoy the pictures! Love, Lynn
